April 1, 2024 - April 5, 2024

9am - 3pm

Drop Off Camp, Ages 8 -14

Spring Camp provides a range of enjoyable and interactive foods that are appropriate for children to prepare with the help and guidance of instructors. The aim is to teach kids basic cooking techniques while also introducing them to diverse flavors and cuisines. Below is a general outline of the types of dishes that your child may learn to prepare during the cooking camp:

1. Simple Baked Goods: Campers will learn to make simple baked goods like cookies, muffins, or brownies. These recipes can be adjusted to be age-appropriate and are often a hit with young chefs.

2. Homemade Pizza: Making pizza from scratch is a hands-on and enjoyable experience for campers. Your child will learn to prepare the dough, choose their toppings, and bake it to perfection.

3. Fresh and Healthy Snacks: Spring Camp emphasizes the importance of healthy eating, so campers will learn to prepare fresh and nutritious snacks like fruit kebabs, yogurt parfaits, or veggie sticks with homemade dip.

4. International Cuisine: Campers will be introduced to basic dishes from around the world, such as simple sushi rolls, tacos, pasta dishes, or stir-fries. This will provide an opportunity for them to explore different flavors and ingredients.

5. Creative Sandwiches and Wraps: Campers can get creative with sandwich and wrap fillings, using a variety of ingredients to make their own unique creations.

6. Decorated Cupcakes: Cupcake decorating is a popular activity in camp. Campers will learn to pipe frosting, use edible decorations, and let their imaginations run wild.

7. Breakfast Foods: Teaching kids how to make simple breakfast items like pancakes, waffles, or scrambled eggs can be both educational and rewarding.

Overall, the focus in The Cooking Club Camp is often on recipes that are simple, hands-on, and enjoyable for kids to make, while also promoting a sense of accomplishment and a greater appreciation for food and cooking.
